In case you didn't happen to know, Vitreous Humor is the clear jelly that fills a vertebrate eyeball from lens to retina. Unlike the Aqueous Humor of the front of the eye, the Vitreous is stagnant. Therefore, if blood, cells, or other byproducts of inflammation enter the Vitreous, they stay there for life.
